Dr. Heng Wei is a professor of transportation engineering and systems at the University of Cincinnati. He has extensive research expertise and industrial experience in ITS, CAV impacts, AI-based transportation Informatics, travel demand forecasting, and transportation environmental sustainability. As PI and Co-PI, Dr. Wei has secured more than 50 research grants or projects from ODOT, Federal Highway Administration, US Environmental Protection Agency, National Science Foundation, USDOT University Transportation Centers, and industrial sector. His research has resulted in more than 238 peer-reviewed and referred papers, 3 books and 4 book chapters. He is the Chair of ASCE T&DI Emerging Technologies Council. He serves on the TRB Standing Committees on 1) Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Computing Applications and 2) Air Quality and Greenhouse Gas Mitigation, and ASCE's T&DI committees on 1) CAV Impacts and 2) Sustainable Transportation. Dr. Heng Wei is a registered Professional Engineer with the state of Michigan and Fellow of ASCE.
