Dr. Yaye Keita is a research faculty member in the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Traffic Operations, and Safety program at the Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR) at the University of South Florida. With over a decade of experience in transportation engineering, planning, and policy, her research focuses on enhancing transportation safety, particularly for pedestrians and cyclists. She explores critical areas such as traffic signal systems, speed management, innovative technologies, and traffic congestion management.
Dr. Keita has made significant contributions to numerous research projects funded by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT). Her work encompasses a wide range of transportation engineering and planning initiatives, emphasizing studies on traffic signal systems, safety, and equity. As the author and co-author of several published reports and academic papers, she provides valuable insights into transportation safety and policy.
