Emmeth Duran is a traffic safety engineer with several years of experience in the field. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from University of South Florida and is a registered Professional Engineer in Florida and a Certified Road Safety Professional Level 2. Throughout his/her career, Emmeth has worked on a variety of projects related to traffic safety, including roadway design, pedestrian and bicycle safety planning, traffic signal timing, and intersection analysis. He has a strong understanding of the latest technologies and techniques used in traffic safety and is skilled at using data analysis to guide decisions.
Emmeth is committed to improving traffic safety in Tampa Bay, where he is currently serving as the FDOT District 7 Traffic Safety Engineer. He is Past President of the Greater Tampa Section and currently serves the Florida Puerto Rico ITE District as the Planning & Mobility Council Chair. Emmeth is always looking for new and better ways to protect drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists on our roads.
When he’s not working or participating in extracurricular activities, Emmeth enjoys spending time with his family and participating in outdoor activities like running and cycling.
