Abdel Rahman Marian is a Ph.D. student at Texas A&M University specializing in transportation and infrastructure resilience. Originally from Jordan, he earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees with top honors, achieving an 'A' GPA. With a strong academic foundation, his research focuses on understanding vulnerabilities and resilience in road networks, especially amid increasing natural hazards due to environmental challenges.
His work addresses critical gaps in transportation engineering for assessing road network vulnerability and resilience. In a recent publication, he introduced a methodology for evaluating both controlled intersections and uncontrolled highway segments, providing valuable insights for transportation engineers. Currently, he is expanding this research by integrating disruption simulations with graph theory analysis to enhance network vulnerability assessments. Additionally, he is exploring machine learning applications to streamline the modeling of traffic redistribution during disruptive events, aiming to enable more efficient and comprehensive network analyses.
