Professor Eyad Masad is a prominent figure in the field of civil engineering, renowned for his extensive research and contributions to pavement materials and mechanics. He holds prestigious positions at both Texas A&M University and the Texas A&M University at Qatar, where he serves as a professor and a leader in engineering education and research.
Born and raised in Jordan, Professor Masad pursued his early education there before moving to the United States to further his studies. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Jordan. Demonstrating a profound interest in materials and mechanics, he continued his academic journey at Washington State University, where he earned both his Master's and Ph.D. degrees in Civil Engineering.
Professor Masad's research primarily focuses on the characterization and modeling of asphalt and pavement materials. He has been instrumental in developing advanced computational models and innovative testing methods to predict the performance and enhance the durability of pavement systems under various environmental and load conditions.
