H. M. Imran Kays is a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Civil Engineering and Environmental Science at the University of Oklahoma. He earned his BS and MS degrees from the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), Bangladesh. Mr. Kays holds a full-time faculty position at MIST. At OU, he is working on a $20M NSF funded project and his current research focuses on investigating the interactions and interdependencies between physical and social infrastructures within the context of natural hazards. Additionally, he is engaged in macro and microscopic traffic modeling and simulation for enhancing transportation system resilience.
