Ruqaya Alfaris is a Ph.D. student in the Civil and Environmental Engineering department at Rowan University, where she specializes in transportation systems and safety. She holds the role of a research assistant at the Center for Research and Education in Advanced Transportation Engineering Systems (CREATES), leading several federally and state-funded projects focused on transportation safety improvements.
