Bekir Aktas, Prof. Dr. (he/him/his)

Prof. Dr. Bekir Aktas completed his Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering at Erciyes University's Faculty of Engineering in 2003. He subsequently obtained a Master's degree from the same university, this time from the Institute of Science, in 2006. He was awarded his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering by Süleyman Demirel University, Institute of Science in 2012. Moreover, He engaged in postdoctoral research at the University of Oklahoma, Faculty of Engineering, in the United States from 2009 to 2010. His research interests include the characterization of highway pavement materials, the design and analysis of pavement structures, railway engineering, and the development of rehabilitation and preservation programs. He has two registered patents and numerous published articles on the field of transportation engineering. Bekir Aktaş currently serves as the Head of the Department of Transportation at Erciyes University, Department of Civil Engineering.
