Yan Shi is a 2rd year Ph.D. student in transportation engineering at the University of Washington, working with Prof. Yinhai Wang in the Smart Transportation Applications & Research group (STAR Lab), where she focuses on applying deep learning and computer vision to intelligent transportation systems and automatic vehicles. Her research aims to use advanced deep learning methods to enhance traffic safety. She completed her master’s degree in Electric Information at Tsinghua University with research focused on computer vision and deep learning.
