Gopi Musunuru, PhD

Dr. Gopi Musunuru is a Research Engineer at Advanced Infrastructure Design Inc., collaborating with the New Jersey Department of Transportation. He has over 10 years of experience in pavement engineering, specializing in pavement design, evaluation, preservation, and management. Dr. Musunuru earned his Ph.D. from Michigan State University, where his research focused on performance-related specifications and probabilistic performance forecasting. As a former consultant for the Florida Department of Transportation, he led the implementation of a comprehensive Non-Destructive Testing program. In his current role, he leads tasks for the NJDOT Pavement Support Program, developing critical databases and testing specifications. His research, supported by FHWA, NCHRP, and various state DOTs, has resulted in over 20 peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Musunuru serves as a reviewer for multiple transportation engineering journals including the Transportation Research Record.
