Dr. Jhony Habbouche is the Asphalt Institute's Regional Engineer for the Western Region, which includes California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and Arizona, where he currently resides. He joins AI from the Virginia Transportation Research Council (VTRC), the research division of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), where he served as a Senior Research Scientist for nearly six years. He earned his Master's and Doctorate degrees from the University of Nevada, Reno (Go Pack!). Jhony has extensive experience conducting research, workshops, seminars, and presentations on topics related pavement engineering and science for diverse audiences. He also actively contributes to the industry by serving on committees in national and international professional organizations.
