Chenxi Liu received the B.S. degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2017, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Washington, Seattle, WA, USA, in 2020 and 2024, respectively. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Utah. He is an active member of ASCE, serving on both the Artificial Intelligence in Transportation Committee and the Active Transportation Committee. He also contributes to TRB standing Committee AED50 focsed on edge computing.His research interests include situation-aware customized machine intelligence to establish a connected and autonomous transportation system for safety and resiliency
