Based in San Diego, California, Garrett is a Civil Engineering graduate from the University of Arizona with an emphasis in geotechnical engineering. He has over 30 years of geotechnical engineering and construction experience. As a Principal Engineer at one of Southern California leading geotechnical engineering firms, Garrett engaged in public, private and design build projects. Technically, Garrett is experienced with various geotechnical design methods, FE modeling techniques as well as pavement and rail design methods. As Tensar’s Lead Geotechnical Engineer, Garrett provides engineering support for a variety of Tensar technologies that include rail section design, pavements, crane pads, load transfer platforms and seismic design. In addition to spearheading Tensar’s field validation program, Garrett is a liaison on multiple Tensar research and testing initiatives and has authored several published research documents.
