Jeff LaHucik earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2014 and 2016, respectively, with a focus on pavement engineering. His master’s thesis focused on mix design development and mechanical property evaluation of roller-compacted concrete. He spent the first four years of his career working on military airfield and heavy industrial pavement design and construction. Since joining AtkinsRéalis in 2020 as a Senior Aviation Engineer, he has focused on airfield pavement design, evaluation, and construction of civilian airfields including: Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), San Antonio International Airport (SAT), Lakeland Linder International Airport (LAL), Northeast Philadelphia Airport (PNE), and several others. Over the course of his career, the construction value of the designs Jeff has been involved with is valuated at over $950 million.
