Dr. Ali A. Butt is a highly accomplished professional with a doctorate degree in transport infrastructures, possessing extensive experience in managing state and federal research projects. His expertise encompasses a wide range of research topics, including life cycle assessment (environmental and social LCA), urban metabolism, complete streets, asphalt and concrete construction materials, and pavement-vehicle interaction. Dr. Butt is an active member of the Academy of Pavement Science and Engineering (APSE) and serves as an advisory member of the Conference of European Road Directors and Federal Highway Administration’s Community of Knowledge. Additionally, Dr. Butt's valuable insights and expertise are recognized within the academic community, as he diligently fulfills the role of a reviewer for prestigious journals. With a passion for research and teaching, Dr. Butt has made significant contributions to the field through his publications, including journal articles, conference papers, and technical reports among several policy/research briefs and white papers. Dr. Butt acquired BE degree in Civil Engineering from National University of Sciences and Technology (Pakistan) and, MSc and PhD from KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden).
