Mohab Turkomany is a teaching assistant in the Civil Engineering Department at Faculty of Engineering at Alexandria University in Egypt and has a blazer fellowship graduate trainee as a Ph.D student in the Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) since August 15, 2023. He studied in Fall 2023 Wind and Seismic loads, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Introduction to Neural Networks. He studied in Spring 2024 Advanced Structural Steel, Advanced Mechanics of Materials, and GIS in Civil Engineering. He presented two lectures in Advanced Steel and Wind Seismic loads about applying them on commercial softwares like SAP2000 and IDEA StatiCa. His Overall GPA in these classes is 4.00. His courses in Summer 2024 are Bridge Engineering and Critical Infrastructure Resilience. He advised and helped the new students in UAB to select. their classes in each semester.
He had a Master Degree of Science in Structural Engineering at Alexandria University in Egypt in July 2023. The title of thesis is “Evaluating the Performance of Controlled Rocking Braced Frames under Earthquake Loading.” He studied Finite Element Methods, Earthquake Engineering and Dynamics of Structures. He published a paper in International Conference on Advances in Structural and Geotechnical Engineering in Tanta University in March 2023. The title of the paper is “A Comparative Study of the Seismic Performance of Buckling-Restrained Braced Frames and
Controlled Rocking Self-Centering Systems.” The number of publications is in process. He worked as a demonstrator of Structural Analysis at Faculty of Engineering in Alexandria University from July 2016 to August 2023. He taught civil engineering courses like Structural Analysis, Dynamics of Structures, Computer Applications in Civil Engineering. He also worked for a part time as Structural Design Engineer at Engineering Consultant Union, Alexandria, Egypt from August 2016 to June 2023. He trained a site engineer at Talaat Moustafa in Alexandria, Egypt
from July 2014 to August 2014 and Arab Contractors in Alexandria, Egypt from July 2015 to August 2015.
