Vicky Carrasco is Chief Operating Officer and leads both Planning and Public Involvement efforts for Kleinman Consultants. Kleinman Consultants is a civil engineering, urban planning and surveying firm based out of West Texas. Vicky has over 19 years of experience in public participation and facilitation processes, and over 6 years of experience in working in Public Involvement on Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) projects.
--Expertise in urban/rural planning, public participation and outreach, corridor planning, environmental studies, mapping and GIS, inter-governmental coordination, conflict resolution and facilitation.
--Extensive facilitation and communication skills to build trust and rapport with clients, stakeholders and communities she has worked with.
--Works to ensure planning and engagement processes are transparent and inclusive
--Experienced with traditional and innovative public involvement strategies based on project needs, community and audience context and sensitivities to various stakeholders.

Vicky has extensive facilitation and communication skills to build trust and rapport with clients, stakeholders and communities she has worked with. Her work is to ensure planning and engagement processes are transparent and inclusive, and composed of traditional and innovative public involvement strategies based on project needs, community and audience context and sensitivities to various stakeholders. She has ample experience in organizing public meetings, stakeholder meetings, bus tours, one-on-one interviews, surveys, public participatory GIS, workshops and focus group meetings.
Vicky previously worked for 11 years at University of Maryland as Coastal Communities Specialist with the Maryland Sea Grant Extension program, on outreach on various issues related to urban growth and development, water quality, climate change, sustainability, and recreation and tourism in coastal Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay.
Vicky is a graduate from Texas A&M University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Renewable Natural Resources and a Master of Urban Planning. As a volunteer, Vicky is founding member and Past Chair of the Latinos and Planning Division, within the American Planning Association. Vicky enjoys camping, backpacking, wakesurfing, volleyball and traveling. Her favorite country is Switzerland, and she enjoys spending time at her family ranches.
