Courtney Rice is a senior engineer at Owens Corning and has been in the asphalt industry for 15 years. She received her bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Auburn University. While at Auburn, Courtney worked as a co-op student for The National Center for Asphalt Technology (NCAT). At NCAT she discovered her passion for asphalt and materials by performing various asphalt mixture designs, binder rheological testing, and asphalt mixture testing. Prior to joining Owens Corning, in 2016, Courtney worked for Ingevity as a Product Development Engineer focusing on the development and commercialization of new products for high-RAP and high-RAS mixtures, as well as new products for warm-mix asphalt. At Owens Corning, Courtney plays a key role in the specialty paving business by identifying new technologies to bring to the asphalt paving market.
