Nazmul Haque has completed his BSc and MSc degrees in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) with a major concentration in Transportation Engineering. He is working on developing theoretical frameworks in traffic and transportation engineering. He has worked on recognizing and tracking traffic from video sensors using image processing techniques. He has also worked with the Variational Formulation (VF) of Kinematic Wave Theory (KWT) for vehicles and pedestrians. He has implemented machine learning to calibrate fundamental diagrams. He has revived the age-old mathematical theories to calibrate multi-regime fundamental diagrams. He is also acquainted with Bayesian modeling using the Monte Carlo Markov Chain (MCMC) algorithm. He has experience working with the Non-Equilibrium Theory, Kinematic Wave Theory, Extreme Value Theory, and Chaos Theory. He has also worked with fundamental diagrams and developed machine learning and deterministic models to calibrate FD. He's currently working on a CAV-based capacity augmentation techniques.
