Dr. David Timm chairs the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Auburn University where he also holds the Elton & Lois G. Huff Eminent Scholar Chair and has been a faculty member since 2001. He earned his BCE, MS, and PhD degrees from the University of Minnesota in Civil Engineering where he specialized in asphalt pavements. At Auburn University, Dr. Timm works extensively with the National Center for Asphalt Technology (NCAT) Pavement Test Track conducting full-scale accelerated loading asphalt pavement research. He's authored or co-authored over 150 technical publications, serves on the NCAT and Association of Asphalt Paving Technologists boards of directors, is past chairman of the TRB Committee on Asphalt Pavement Design and Rehabilitation, and is registered professional engineering in Alabama.
