Over his nearly 40-year career as a civil engineering practitioner, Mr. Boudreau has enjoyed participating in the mechanistic advancement of pavement technology. Boudreau’s advanced materials laboratory in Atlanta, Georgia, is well-respected and highly regarded as one of the nation’s best with respect to characterizing subgrade soil and aggregate base properties using resilient modulus testing techniques.
He has been involved with the pavement management program at Atlanta’s Hartsfield Airport since 1991, and has led efforts in the past 3 decades bringing emerging technologies to the World’s Busiest Airport. This morning (afternoon) he will present findings of a recent study conducted at the airport regarding surface friction and the variables that affect the property.
