Dr. Mingfeng Shang is a Research Assistant Professor with the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering and Mechanics, University of Arizona. Dr. Shang received a B.S. (2017), M.S. (2018), and Ph.D. (2024), all in Civil Engineering, from Southwest Jiaotong University, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and University of Minnesota, respectively. He is a recipient of the Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship, the Hsiao Shaw-Lundquist Fellowship, and the Matthew J. Huber Award from the University of Minnesota. He is also a recipient of the 2023 ITS Minnesota Educational Scholarship from ITS Minnesota. His research interests are traffic flow modeling and simulation, traffic control, and intelligent transportation systems.
