Mesude Bayrakci Boz is an Assistant Professor in Integrated Science and Technology at James Madison University. She holds a Ph.D. in Energy and Mineral Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems. She served as an Assistant Professor of Engineering at Penn State Hazleton from August 2020 to June 2023, following a previous role as an Assistant Teaching Professor. Her research focuses on renewable energy systems, including solar energy conversion, photovoltaic (PV) systems, wind energy and the integration of renewable energy into the grid. Additionally, she has a strong interest in the spatial analysis of renewable energy using GIS and the development of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. She has taught courses on sustainable energy development and fundamental engineering classes.
