Postdoctoral Research Associate
Rowan University
Glassboro, NJ, United States
Dr. Abhary Eleyedath joined Professor Yusuf Mehta’s research team at Rowan/CREATES in 2022. Her research work includes the pavement design projects for New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT). Apart from that, she is supervising undergraduate and graduate students working on those projects.
She received her doctoral degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. Her Ph. D research with Dr. Aravind Krishna Swamy at IIT Delhi mainly focused on the application of machine learning techniques in the pavement engineering domain. Her research work translated into 14 publications and has potential application in several other fields, including chemistry, material science, polymer engineering, etc. She has more than 4 years of teaching experience and taught transportation engineering courses for undergraduate and graduate students.
Dr. Abhary is currently leading the cold central plant recycling and porous asphalt pavement projects. Her team at CREATES successfully completed the construction of full-scale test strips of full-depth porous asphalt pavement designed for the high-traffic volume roadways. The full-scale construction of pavement containing CCPR layers will commence in Mid-2024. NJDOT’s efforts to sustainable pavement construction practices will be galvanized by the results of these investigations.
