Nate is a project engineer at ARRB Systems, Inc. in Exton, PA. He manages processing and analysis of data collected by ARRB’s Intelligent Pavement Assessment Vehicle (iPAVe), which combines functional and structural pavement assessment. He has helped develop new methods for analyzing iPAVe data, including the interpretation of continuous deflection data on PCC pavements. Nate is currently working on Transportation Pooled Fund Study 5(518) – Implementation of Structural Data from Traffic Speed Deflection Devices. He has managed data processing for data collected in over 30 US states, in 5 Canadian provinces, and in Brazil.
Before joining ARRB, Nate worked in the Pavement Mechanics and Materials Laboratory as part of his education at the University of Pittsburgh. His work focused on analysis and interpretation of pavement structural response data and its use in rehabilitation design. Additionally, he Nate is a member of TRB Standing Committee AKP10 on Pavement Condition Evaluation and ASTM Committee E17 on Vehicle-Pavement Systems.
