Gabriel M. Bazi, PhD, PE is the founder of pulsuus, llc, with over 20 years of experience specializing in pavement engineering. He earned his PhD in 2005 from the University of Nevada, Reno, focusing on pavements and materials. Before founding pulsuus, Gabriel served as a Civil Engineer with the FAA Airport Pavement Technology R&D Branch in New Jersey. He also held positions as an Associate Professor in Civil Engineering at the Lebanese American University (LAU) in Lebanon and as a Project Engineer for Dynatest in California. Gabriel’s expertise spans teaching, R&D, and software development, with oversight of projects involving the structural and functional evaluation of roads and airports, including Falling/Heavy Weight Deflectometer testing, high-speed inertial profiling, skid resistance, mechanistic-empirical design, backcalculation, PCN/PCR and load rating evaluation.
