Dr. Mohammad Alharthai is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the
Najran University, Saudi Arabia. He received his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from King Khalid University
(KKU), Abha, Saudi Arabia, in 2014. He received M.S. degree in Civil Engineering from University of South
Florida, Tampa, Florida, in 2018. He has been involved in several funded research projects as a research
assistant in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Center for Urban Transportation
Research (CUTR) at University of South Florida. He graduated in 2022 from the University of South Florida
with a PhD degree in Civil Engineering. He works as the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator in several
funded research projects from Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia and Najran University. He has
published several research papers in the peer-reviewed journals, and participated in several academic
conferences. His research interests include pavement and asphalt mixture; Sustainable structural
materials; Traffic noise reduction; Transportation safety and highway engineering.
