He holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and a master’s degree in civil engineering from the National University of Colombia and the University of los Andes, two of the most prominent universities in his home country. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. program in civil engineering and serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Alabama. His research interests lie at the junction of transportation and urban planning, exploring how these areas relate to the well-being of societies. His experience includes consultancy for the public sector, teaching, and leading research teams. Currently, he is studying the effects of emerging mobility solutions on shaping care-seeking behaviors in rural communities in Alabama.
