Chien-Lun Lan is a Research Scientist at the Virginia Transportation Research Council. His research interests span both traditional and emerging topics in transportation – from estimating freeway congestion costs and identifying high-crash road segments to leveraging data analytics to monitor roadway performance. Beyond his research, Chien-Lun is actively engaged in professional activities. He is an Associate Member of ASCE. He also serves as a Handling Editor for Transportation Research Record, a panel member for NCHRP projects, and the Committee Communication Coordinator for the TRB Standing Committee on Human Factors of Vehicles.
