I’m the Lead Software Engineer and also a Research Reader in Computational Pedestrian Dynamics at the University of Greenwich. My work involves the development and management of the EXODUS software. The software package EXODUS is a set of object-oriented agent-based models, mainly developed in C++, which is portable across platforms types from PC to UNIX and is sold in over 37 countries.
EXODUS is designed to simulate the evacuation of large numbers of people from a variety of enclosures and the circulation/pedestrian dynamics in complex environments. The family of models currently consists of buildingEXODUS for applications in the built environment, airEXODUS for aviation and maritimeEXODUS for marine applications. A rail and urban versions of the software are also currently being developed. In addition, vrEXODUS can be used to view EXODUS generated simulations in 3D.
