I am a qualified Civil Engineering Technologist with a strong academic background and project-based experience in the civil engineering industry. I possess almost 17 years’ experience, 9 years of which relates to academic field. I offer advanced leadership skills, as well as expertise in facilitating learning, managing performance, conducting research, managing budgets and ensuring quality assurance of academic programmes. In a practical capacity, I have excelled in successfully applying my theoretical profundity while contributing positively to projects presided over. I provide a full capability offering in implementing strategies to drive department performance and ensure the delivery of academic programmes of the highest standard.

I am currently enrolled with UKZN for a PHD research in civil engineering, with focus on investigation of crumb rubber / Magnetite/bitumen composites as a sustainable self-healing solution for prevention of asphalt pavements cracking
