Audrius Vaitkus is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of JSC "Kelių priežiūra," a Lithuanian company responsible for road maintenance. He also holds an academic role as the professor of the Department of Roads and Senior Researcher of the Road Research Institute at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (Vilnius Tech). Vaitkus has a significant background in civil engineering, with extensive research focusing on road construction, maintenance technologies, and pavement performance.
In addition to his research, Vaitkus is involved in various international road engineering organizations, such as the Forum of European National Highway Research Laboratories (FEHRL), where he participates in strategic planning for road infrastructure development. He also led expert groups with whom he prepared more than 30 normative technical documents.
