Jeanette Berk is a project manager with strong analytical skills. Her educational background focused on policy analysis and program evaluation with a master’s degree in Public Administration and a master’s degree in Practical Philosophy and Applied Ethics, while her professional career focused on travel demand forecasting. This combination of technical and policy skills has allowed her to apply quantitative analyses of travel demand and ridership forecasts associated with transit and roadway alternative analyses using four-step, activity based, and Simplified Trips on Project Software (STOPS) models to identify the impact policy decisions have on the mobility and accessibility options in a variety of geographical areas.
She taught an introductory travel demand course to FHWA on behalf of FDOT, conducted STOPS workshops and is accomplished in conveying technical concepts to elected officials, the general public as well as a technical audience. Additionally, as Chairman of the Florida Model Task Force, she has implemented new methods in the field of travel demand forecasting in an effort to improve processes. Her ability to obtain the support and trust to successfully implement innovative approaches was well proven during this tenure. She currently serves as the Immediate Past President of the WTS Northeast Florida Chapter and is active in her local community.
