Dr. Abdulaziz Alshehri is an Assistant Professor in the Civil Engineering Department at Najran University’s College of Engineering in Saudi Arabia. His expertise lies in Transportation Engineering, with a particular focus on traffic safety, planning, and modeling.
Dr. Alshehri earned his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Kansas State University in 2022, building on a strong foundation established during his Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Dayton, Ohio, in 2017. He began his academic journey with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Umm Al-Qura University, Saudi Arabia, in 2010.
His professional career commenced in 2011 as a Structural Engineer at Taif University, where he contributed to major projects until 2013. In 2014, he transitioned to academia by joining Najran University, where he pursued advanced studies and has since played a pivotal role in the institution’s development.
Since assuming his current faculty role in fall 2022, Dr. Alshehri has been actively involved in teaching, research, and institutional service. He has contributed to various departmental, college, and university committees, demonstrating leadership in academic and administrative initiatives. His research portfolio includes numerous peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations, reinforcing his reputation as a leading scholar in transportation engineering.
Committed to bridging academic research with real-world applications, Dr. Alshehri continues to develop innovative solutions aimed at improving traffic safety and optimizing transportation systems.
