William Dungo is the Deputy Director of Mobility for the NJ office for VHB, a multi-disciplinary civil engineering consulting firm with over 30 offices along the East Coast. He has devoted the 16 years of his career in airport landside planning, capacity analysis, operations, and design, and is involved with impactful airport projects such as the LGA Redevelopment Program, JFK Redevelopment Program, EWR Redevelopment Program and the Syracuse Hancock International Airport Masterplan Update.
In 2018, William was featured as one of Airport Business Magazine’s 40 Under 40 and authored an article in Long Island Road Warriors Magazine that discussed how applied technology tools help address traffic and mobility changes. He has also presented and moderated at key aviation and transportation industry events and conferences such as the PTV Annual User Group meeting and the ACC/AAAE Airport Planning, Design, and Construction Symposium.
William is also an active participant in ACRP by serving as a panelist in two recent research projects to help improve and advance industry guidance and standards in the airport environment. Outside of work, he has volunteered for the Institute of Transportation Engineer’s and TRB’s Young Members Council-Aviation mentoring programs. He also supports the Association of Community Employment Programs for the Homeless (ACE) in New York City where he connects and provides guidance to adults who are seeking to enter the workforce to gain back their financial independence.
William earned his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is an avid traveler and self-professed “aviation geek”, who has, in numerous occasions, used layovers to observe a new airport’s landside facility and operations.
