André Felipe Vale is one of RoadRunner’s owners, a leading company in Brazil that specializes in advanced pavement evaluation and management technologies. He graduated from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo with a degree in Civil Engineering, as well as a master’s and a Ph.D. in Infrastructure of Transport, specializing in the use of HDM for investment programming in roadways. With over 25 years of experience in the field focusing on pavement design, evaluation and rehabilitation projects. André Vale has been actively involved in the development of pavement management systems since the late 1990s, providing customized solutions to meet client needs, including integration with HDM-4. He has also been involved in several research projects and working at the forefront of integrating cutting-edge technologies into pavement assessment in Brazil. At the academic side André Vale has been actively involved in technical lectures and publishing articles and serving on examination committees for master's and doctoral programs at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo.
