Kaz Tabrizi is a co-founder of Advanced Infrastructure Design (AID). He received his BS and MS in Civil Engineering from University of Buffalo and his PhD from Rutgers University. With over 30 years of practical and research experience, he has been actively involved in the fields of mechanistic pavement engineering, materials engineering, bridge deck evaluation and geotechnical engineering, (12 years of which were spent with the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) as a Geotechnical Engineer). His areas of expertise include foundation design, mechanistic pavement design and nondestructive field testing of pavements and bridge decks.
In his current capacity as Executive Vice President at AID, Kaz helps develop and promotes new technologies for the firm, pursues new markets and fields in addition to acting as Project Manager and Quality Assurance Manager on many projects for various authorities in New Jersey and neighboring states. With his wealth of soils, concrete and asphalt knowledge, Kaz also manages the company’s Materials Lab, overseeing a team of seasoned materials engineering experts, inspectors and lab technicians.
