Dr. Alzoubaidi is an Assistant Professor of Transportation Engineering at Al-Balqa Applied University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation Engineering from the University of Wyoming in the United States. He then pursued a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Transportation Systems Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the United States, boasting over 10 years of expertise in various domains including traffic engineering, traffic operations and control, traffic safety, traffic modelling and simulation, transportation planning, complete streets, highway geometric design, and connected and automated vehicles. He has authored/co-authored more than 15 journal and conference research papers in the aforementioned areas. He presented his research in multi prestigious annual meetings and conferences including the Transportation Research Board (TRB), the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), and the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Joint Program Office’s T3e webinars at United States Department of Transportation's Volpe National Transportation Systems Center. Dr. Alzoubaidi has created two new innovative interchange designs, in addition to two modified versions of the Super Diverging Diamond Interchange.
