Trained and worked as a structural engineer in Vietnam, Dr. Nam Tran later pursued graduate studies in pavement engineering at the University of Arkansas. In 2007, Dr. Nam Tran joined the National Center for Asphalt Technology at Auburn University, starting as a Lead Researcher. He currently serves as the Associate Director and Research Professor. Dr. Tran has led a research program that has secured over $17 million in funding, advancing materials and technologies for safe, sustainable, and resilient asphalt pavements. He has authored or co-authored 150 publications and advised 16 doctoral and master’s students.
