Dr. Ela Bialkowska-Jelinska is a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR) at the University of South Florida. She is a geoscientist and certified GIS Professional (GISP) with over 15 years of experience working in academic, local, and federal government settings, specializing in spatial data analysis and visualization. Her expertise encompasses advanced geospatial techniques, remote sensing, and integrating geographic information systems (GIS) for transportation-related applications.
Dr. Bialkowska-Jelinska has contributed to numerous high-impact research projects funded by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT). Her research analyzes spatial patterns in transportation infrastructure, evaluates transportation safety, and examines the interactions between human activities, the built environment, and natural systems. She has co-authored several technical reports and academic publications.
