Aksel Seitllari, Ph.D., P.E., M.B.A., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Virginia Military Institute. He earned his Doctorate in Pavement Engineering from Michigan State University and holds a Master of Business Administration from the State University of New York at Oswego. Dr. Seitllari blends academic experience from various higher education institutions with practical industry knowledge. As a licensed engineer, he brings a deep level of expertise to both academic and professional fields.

Dr. Seitllari specializes in pavement engineering and civil infrastructure, with research focused on integrating green technology into these fields. His work emphasizes sustainable materials and carbon sequestration in roadway engineering, exploring innovative approaches to enhance the environmental performance of pavement systems and other infrastructure components. His contributions are highlighted in his publications across both academic and industry platforms.

As an Assistant Professor, Dr. Seitllari teaches various courses in civil infrastructure and roadway technology, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical applications.
